A prison lock with 9 rings. The point of this game is to get the handle free from the rings. This problem is one of the oldest (the first known commerical prison lock is from the year 1785). The prison lock (also known as the siberian lock, chinese rings, 9 rings, sinclairs schackles) is a complicated problem. It can be made out of metal or tree. Prison lock has 5 rings or more. A prison lock with 10 rings needs about 700 moves before the problem is solved. It takes just a couple of seconds for a skilled problem solver to do these moves, but for a beginner it can take up to months without solving the problem. The moves doubles for every ring.
